That's how many night-nights until Thanksgiving. Or, 1 more piano class, 1 more math class, 1 more home-ec class, 2 more science classes, and 2 more dance classes until Thanksgiving break. And Thanksgiving break just goes by too fast. :-) Thanksgiving is 2 weeks from today.
That just about sums up what's been going through my mind all week...and will continue to go through my head until after 14 muh-tahs muh-tahs, 1 more piano class, 1 more math class, and yeah, you get the idea. I'm excited. But for what? Well, besides a break from school and the chance to stuff myself?
Thanksgiving is more than just stuffing myself to me. Let me tell you what I do on every Thanksgiving real fast...
Thanksgiving isn't Thanksgiving to me unless you start off the day with the Macy's Day Parade. Along with getting ready for the rest of the day during it.
While we're watching we're getting bundled up and everything to go to my Nana's. There, my family plus some friends get on a hay ride, pulled by my Papa and his tractor. During the hay ride the mom's-who don't usually want to freeze on the hay ride-are cooking and visiting at Nana's.
When we get home we get unbundled, maybe change, and eat dinner. The traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
Then we clean up, the men wash the dishes, and we read adds.
We finish off the evening with some adult games-adult Greed followed by spoons which the braver teens can join. But watch out, only play if your willing to lose a finger in the scramble for a spoon. :-)
The next day is spent, for me at least, decorating for Christmas and listening to the long awaited Christmas music.
And this year, the night before Thanksgiving us 5 youngest kids are going to sleep in the green room so that as soon as we wake up we can turn on the parade. I just can't wait!!!
14 more muh-tahs muh-tahs, 1 more piano class, 1 more math class...
Growing up isn't easy....but we all go through it and here's my growing up story.....

classes, classes, classes
I rarely feel bored these days! But, that's a good thing, right? Mondays have geometry early in the morn and piano in the afternoon. Geometry I don't hate or anything-but having to wake up at 7:20 or something isn't very fun and doesn't make me look forward to it at all. But piano I love and enjoy. Having done it for 6 years, I can't imagine life without it. :-) Tuesdays and Thursdays have chemisty at 12:30. That's a class I don't dread, or look forward to. It's fun, but difficult. It's definitely a class I have to work for, but that's a good thing and it keeps my life exciting, right? :-) Wednesdays mornings are speech, home ec in the afternoon. I love both of those classes. Speech is only till beginning of November and even though I'll be happy because my life will become a bit easier, I'll be sad because it's a lot of fun. Home ec is a TON of fun. Not only because of all the fun and yummy things I get to make, but also because the people I do it with are good friends, fun, and funny. Fridays are dance class. Maybe my favorite class, along with piano. The last 2 weeks Kyra and I have ended up dancing for almost 3 hours. But as exhausted as we are at the end, I love the entire time and am sad everytime we can't make it. Why 3 hours of dancing tho? Well, at 12 there are 7 kids, including Kyra and I, that get a half hour class before the beginning class so that eventually we'll get to join the advanced class. Then from 12:30-2 we dance with the beginning class. From 2 to almost 3 we join the advanced class for a new dance for both of us. That's been going on for only 2 weeks, but it is going to continue until us 7 join the advanced class. But I am SOO excited for the next class already!!! Because dance is SO much fun. :-) Along with my other classes. :-) And I guess I just love smiley faces. :-)

Fall Favorites
Here are some of my favorite things about fall...
The food. Today Mom is making turkey and cranberries for sure and I'm hoping gravy and maybe even mashed potatoes will be added. It tastes SO good.
The chilliness. There's just something so fun about waking up and having it chilly outside but nice and warm inside and being able to wear warm, fuzzy clothes. :-)
The falling leaves. I mean, some favorite memories are raking up a pile of leaves and jumping into it. My plan today is a little bit later to take the 3 little ones out and to do just that.
The relaxed feeling. Just being able to stay inside and clean inside, watch a family movie in the evening, get stuff done inside like the Christmas stocking my mom is making, or my still unfinished quilt. :-)
The holidays. Everything about the holidays is awesome-the food, the gifts, or just the entire holiday feeling. The food as in the holiday-flavored coffee or hot chocolate, all the warm food, the sweet stuff like cookies or candy canes. The holiday feeling...Well, like everybody is just so happy. Especially at Christmas-time. It just feel extra-special.
And there's those awesome chick-flick holiday movies. I'm really excited for those. And even though my toes are cold during fall-it's a fun feeling because it makes me excited because Thanksgiving and Christmas and snow are on their way!!!! Hurry up please!!! :-)

Fall
It's definitely fall-leaves are changing colors and falling, and the wind is blowing strong making it all very chilly, I wore a sweater on the walk to class and was very comfortable...All great signs-I love fall. It's a truly awesome season. In the fall is Halloween where we get to go to non-Halloween costume parties that happen to be at the same time as Halloween, and Thanksgiving-which is another very long post but Thanksgiving is a ton of fun!!! :-) I truly love fall...
And today was an amazing day for me. Speech class this morning went pretty well-my first time running the meeting as the president and I messed up but not terribly. I got to walk home the long way with one of my best friends who I haven't done that much with recently and so that was pretty great. :-) School went great and we got to watch the first "Biggest Loser". I love that show even though I'm the only one. Home ec was a TON of fun!!! We had a test that went pretty well for me-but the fun part was all the joking. We weren't very serious but we were serious enough not to get in trouble so I guess we evened it out pretty well. :-) We made cookies that didn't entirely work out-but it might've been the oven or the scoopers who put huge lumps close together sooooo....but still. :-) And there's the dog whining at the door....AGAIN!!! I'm pretty sure there's a cat out there but here we go!! :-)

Dance Class
Probably my favorite class of the classes I take, except for piano. We have learned in 1 semester line dances, waltz, some cha-cha, rhumba, mumbo, round dances, and even some square dances!!! It's all a lot of fun and we all LOVE it!!!!! Even Atsede and Kebrom love going and just watching us. Anyway, yesterday it started and we were about 45 minutes late because one of our llamas was going to the Spokane fair and the lady who took him was about an 1 hour late or something. Anyway, We got there and there were ton of little kids and new kids-Kyra and I felt like giants!! Other than 2 other kids, we were the tallest there!!! But thankfully the teacher, Barry Bartlett, offered to give us 4 or 5 older kids a half hour lesson before as well as that class so that we could catch up to the older class. Kyra and I are THRILLED and can't wait for next Friday!!!!! :-) But today Mom and Kyra went to town for grocery shopping-and probably a stop at the mall-Dad isn't feeling well so he is vegging out watching the Husky game, and later we're going to Aunt Sharla and Uncle Steve's birthday party later!!! YAY!!!! :-)

Busy Life!! :-)
Recently my life has become incredibly busy-Geometry Monday mornings at 7:30 a.m., youth group Mondays at 7 p.m., Chemistry Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-2:30p.m., speech Wednesday from 9-10:15 a.m, home ec Wednesdays at 1:45 p.m., dance on Fridays 12:30a.m.-2p.m. Then I'm trying to do school between those, plus help keep the house clean, sometimes go to town, and the multiple other chores that come and go. :-) Next time I'm bored (assuming that will ever happen!!) I won't complain!! :-) At least I get lots of exercise going to and from class...:-) Oh, and I just realized I didn't do German today!!

Church
Today we had the best experience so far!! Atsede and Kebrom were happy and shaking hands with people and everything!! Kyra and JL took Atsede back to kids church and she LOVED it!!! Kyra reported that she was smiling the entire time except for once-when she was real intent on listening!! When Dad picked her up she was smiling and real happy. Kebrom did really well in the big church, too. And they haven't broken down yet-well, Kebrom did when he didn't get coffee from Starbucks, but who can blame him for that? I always want to cry when I don't get coffe :-) Right now Kyra, JL, and Atsede are making bead things-put the beads on a little plastic board and then melt them with an iron. Don't remember what it's called-but they love it!! Kebrom looked at the picture football schedule and was going to pick a team-he never quite decided. Then he went and played with the beads a little bit and is now playing with trucks. They are SOOOOO cute!! And, I do mean the entire fam. :-)

Friday!! :-)
Today has been pretty busy already- I got up, ate, got dressed and walked down to the neighbors with Atsede to get a reference letter for an application for 4-H. Anway, as we're walking down Atsede asked me why the sheeps bottom is yellow(it will have babies in the spring) why did that sheep go away awhile ago(it was sick) she told me about her pretty dress and how it was kind've cold and how our green house is yellow like the neighbors. We got home, did some school, and now Kebrom is running around with Books (very exciting until Books knocks him over) and driving around on the plasma car-a fav of his to use for disaster, like driving thru my dirt pile while I'm sweeping and running into people with it. Atsede is being her normal silly self-doing anything to make us laugh. She just came in with mom's red shirt on and was hobbling like an old lady. :-) JL did school and is now getting her hair done-and mom is going to cut it like Atsede's!!! Atsede and JL are both very excited about that. I'll post pics when it's done. And all this on a day when no one has a class!!

Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start
Now where exactly is that beginning?
What should I tell now and what should I save for another post?
Well, maybe you should know that I'm Brenna, I'm 14, and I'm second of 6 kids.
The rest can be saved for another post-maybe one tomorrow when I'm not tired! :-)
